Le Parc Vincent et l\u2019histoire d\u2019Aouste<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n\n



Situ\u00e9 sur une voie importante entre Valence et Die,\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Augusta Vocontiorum\u00a0\u00bb fut une cit\u00e9 florissante. En 2020, des sondages effectu\u00e9s<\/a> par l’Institut National de Recherche Arch\u00e9ologique Pr\u00e9ventive ( INRAP), ont permis de mieux conna\u00eetre le pass\u00e9 de la cit\u00e9. L’INRAP constate \u00ab\u00a0une tr\u00e8s forte pr\u00e9sence de vestiges arch\u00e9ologiques\u00a0\u00bb, certains datant du n\u00e9olithique, les plus importants \u00e9tant \u00abdans un contexte fun\u00e9raire\u00a0\u00bb .

<\/p>\n\n

l’INRAP \u00e0 fouill\u00e9 15% du parc Vincent. 82 s\u00e9pultures en pleine terre ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9pertori\u00e9es, 16 en coffres anthropomorphes, 10 en sarcophages. Sur l\u2019ensemble du parc (2400 m\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s), l’INRAP \u00e9value entre 1500 et 2000, le nombre de structures fun\u00e9raires en \u00e9tat de conservation relativement correct. Les s\u00e9pultures \u00e9tudi\u00e9es sont soit en cercueils en bois, soit en sarcophages, et, une tombe en tuiles plates\u00a0; elles sont majoritairement orient\u00e9es ouest et nord-ouest, une s\u00e9pulture d’enfant est orient\u00e9e sud-ouest . .<\/p>\n\n

Par ailleurs, un b\u00e2timent a \u00e9t\u00e9 rep\u00e9r\u00e9, avec des fondations monumentales (1,5 m de largeur), il pourrait s’agir des restes du prieur\u00e9 Saint Pierre (indiqu\u00e9 dans une bulle papale de 1120). On conna\u00eet aussi l’existence d’un cimeti\u00e8re, \u00e0 partir du Veme<\/sup> si\u00e8cle et durant tout le Moyen Age. Il accueille des d\u00e9funts catholiques et protestants au XVIIeme<\/sup> si\u00e8cle\u00a0. Le prieur\u00e9 et le cimeti\u00e8re auraient \u00e9t\u00e9 abandonn\u00e9s \u00e0 la fin du XVIIIeme<\/sup> si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n\n

Les sondages de l’INRAP ont aussi permis la d\u00e9couverte de fragments d’amphores ib\u00e9riques ainsi que 2 sesterces (un d’Antonin le Pieux :138-161, l’autre de Marc Aur\u00e8le : 161-180), ces d\u00e9couvertes confortent les connaissances sur les \u00e9changes \u00e9conomiques entre la vall\u00e9e de la Dr\u00f4me et d’autres r\u00e9gions de l’empire romain.<\/p>\n

La famille de Ren\u00e9 Vincent, qui s’\u00e9tait install\u00e9e \u00e0 Aouste sur Sye en 1933, a fait don de ce grand parc ombrag\u00e9 \u00e0 la commune en 2023. En 2024, 22 b\u00e9n\u00e9voles des \u00ab chantiers citoyens \u00bb ont particip\u00e9 au \u00ab nettoyage \u00bb du parc (suppression des arbres inutiles ou dangereux).<\/p>\n\n

Le 31 ao\u00fbt 2025, la municipalit\u00e9 inaugure, en pr\u00e9sence de la famille Vincent, ce parc naturel de 2400m\u00b2 redevenu agr\u00e9able.
